This will be the FINAL television taping before our massive Wrestlelution 5 iPPV event on August 19, so this event is sure to be emotional and unpredictable!

Three On OneJohnny Gargano vs. Sex Appeal
All of us were elated to see “The Whole Shebang” Johnny Gargano return home for the first time in many months this past week on television, immediately targeting the man who took him out of action and tried to replace him in every sense of the word, “Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs. While many were surprised atGargano’s appearance, it seemed that Jimmy Jacobs was not one of them. Jacobs has stated he expected it – he wanted it – because as long as Gargano as wrestling, Jimmy hasn’t accomplished his goals. Jimmy is out to replace Johnny Gargano as the franchise of this company and eclipse Gargano’s success in both the history books as well as the future. The quickest way to do it? Destroy Gargano at the event he has become synonymous with – Wrestlelution. But in order for Gargano to earn a shot at Jimmy Jacobs and the PRIME Championship at Wrestlelution 5 August 19 on iPPV, Gargano must survive all three of Jacobs’ hired guns… at once. Sex Appeal have been transformed by Jacobs, each going on an individual “spiritual journey” as ordered by Jimmy… and coming back more dangerous than ever. While there have been a few hiccups along the way, Sex Appeal’s record since that time has been astonishing. They have beaten countless foes, and even gone on to humiliate some of them with degrading haircuts. Can Johnny Gargano possibly survive all three? If so, how? And how will Jimmy Jacobs respond?

Prime Champion Jimmy Jacobs & Marion Fontaine vs. Johnny Gargano & Matt Cross
It’s an all-star war as four men who have held the PRIME Championship meet in one unpredictable tag match. This will be the first time Jacobs & Gargano have shared a ring since Jacobs revealed himself as the man behind the ski mask who had caused Gargano so much physical & psychological torment. Whether Gargano wins or loses against Sex Appeal, he will still have a chance to meet Jacobs in this tag match! Meanwhile, Marion Fontaine is preparing for the end of his rivalry with Justin LaBar when he meets Aaron Draven on August 19, but will LaBar be ringside for this particular tag match? And while Matt Cross’ Wrestlelution 5 path is not yet clear, we do hear from reliable sources that Matt has been challenged by many major stars – in and out of PRIME Wrestling! How will these teams co-exist? Can Gargano & Cross bury years of animosity? Will the egos of Jacobs & Fontaine allow them to work together?

Johnny Gargano found himself on the sidelines – physically injured and mentally exhausted – following a sick year-plus long psychological mind game perpetrated by an unknown man behind a ski mask – a man who unmasked himself to be Jimmy Jacobs. Jealous of the spotlight Gargano had earned and international success he attained, Jacobs sought to be the man to eliminate Gargano and ascend to the same heights as “The Whole Shebang”. Jacobs drove Gargano from his very home, captured the title Gargano was synonymous with, and became obsessed with replacing Gargano as the top player in PRIME Wrestling.

Recently, Gargano made a long awaited return to confront “The Zombie Princess”, then react to a most interesting challenge, as Jacobs finds one last area that Gargano has owned that Jacobs would love to take from him.

PRIME Wrestling returns to Gargano’s Restaurant & Catering, 3482 W 25th St in Cleveland, OH THIS Sunday afternoon, July 8 at 3pm. Tickets are available NOW in the “Store” section at PRIMEwrestling.com. All tickets are only $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under! This will be a SportsTime Ohio television taping, so bring your signs & enthusiasm!

Immediately after his stacked weekend in Florida for the triple-shot EVOLVE events, Gargano hopped a plane to reclaim his rightful title as Mr. Absolution, involving himself in a scheduled main event triple-threat match for the Absolute title. In a shocking return, TNA star Zema Ion – more known to AIW audiences as  Shiima Xion – made a sudden return and was involved in the bout, turning it from a triple-threat to a four-way dance. Exact details are currently fuzzy, but Tim Donst ultimately walked away with the victory – crowning a new AIW Absolute champion.

After walking out victorious in a Four Way Freestyle over three other men – including current Open the Freedom Gate Champion, Johnny Gargano – Tony Nese made his goals known. With his eyes set on the current champion, Nese extended a challenge for tomorrow’s Evolve 16 event in Jacksonville, Florida. Earlier tonight at Evolve 15, Nese walked away with his second Evolve victory over Mike Cruz. Afterwards, Lenny Leonard caught up with the steadily rising star who made it clear that he was going to take what was his. Infuriated that Gargano had yet to respond to his challenge, Nese went on to state that he didn’t care about Garagano’s big match, or his injured back. He demanded to hear an answer to his challenge.

The show would continue on with the challenge hanging in the air. With the main event ending after a sudden Garga-No-Escape in the champion’s favor, Johnny Gargano was confronted by Lenny Leonard. Acknowledging Nese’s challenge, Gargano gave Nese credit for winning the match at Evolve 14 before reminding the crowd that he also was the cause of his returning back pain. With a hint of rage, Garagano then accepted the challenge, but made one thing clear: the Open the Freedom Gate Title would not be on the line due to the rightful contender being Akira Tozawa.

Finally answering the challenge, Gargano then set himself on the card for tomorrow’s Evolve event. You can watch it tomorrow live on iPPV at www.WWNLive.com to see how these two men will collide.

The J.T. Lightning Invitational tournament was probably the greatest night in Eric Ryan’s career. Not only did he win the tournament, but, thanks to a decree by Acting President Matt Wadsworth, he also won the AIW Absolute Title, bringing an end to one journey and marking the beginning of another. His first title defense will be his stiffest challenge yet, as he faces not one, but two contenders to the crown—Tim Donst and Johnny Gargano.

None of these men are strangers to success. Donst, a former holder of CHIKARA’s Young Lions Cup, won a four-way match to win a shot at the Absolute Title. Gargano, a former Absolute Champion himself, is DG-USA’s Open the Freedom Gate champion and won AIW’s Gauntlet For the Gold to earn this opportunity. Eric Ryan, the champion, has gone undefeated for over a year in his quest to take home the Absolute championship.

All three men have been building quite a legacy in Cleveland, and their paths cross for one of the most prestigious titles in independent wrestling this Sunday. Without question, this is the biggest main event in the history of Absolute Intense Wrestling, and, no matter the winner, the company will have a champion that’s the envy of the wrestling world.

Show »

Tickets for this event are $15 and can be ordered online exclusively at shop.aiwrestling.com. Doors at Turner’s Hall open at 5 p.m., and INTERNET PRE-ORDERS WILL BE ADMITTED FIRST. This is the biggest card in AIW’s seven year history, a showcase of both what Cleveland wrestling stands for, and what independent professional wrestling is all about.
