American Hero?

Undoubtedly. Coming out to welcome the fans to EVOLVE 21, Johnny early on to make one remarkable comparison: He was one of the greats. Among the likes of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, Johnny Gargano was confirmed as the leader and the hero of tonight’s mission. In the USA vs. the World Dragon Gate USA competition, four matches were set, and Johnny brought the other three competitors to the ring, hyping up each before the show continued on. Coming out for commentary in AR Fox’s match later on in the night, Johnny once more reminded the fans of what a true American he is – also supporting his fellow comrade in the mini-tournament.  With AR Fox victorious, Johnny then swung down to the ring, ready for competition against AR Fox after giving him his spotlight (or maybe only for a second, who’s counting?).

Then standing across from the vicious Tomahawk TT, Johnny brought it to the limit – waving around America flags, crossing his heart like a true American, and fighting for our beautiful country’s honor. Unfortunately, Johnny wasn’t victorious, however, with the score at 2-2, Johnny proposed a tag team match. AR Fox joining him, Johnny and the EVOLVE Champion fought for America’s sweet name against Tomahawk and EITA, and secured the victory.

Of course, other strong American forces came out to assist, but in the end, Johnny pulled it out for our phenomenal country, putting Tomahawk in the Gargano Escape and giving the USA the 3-2 victory. You’re a hero, Johnny! Not one to ever mock or gloat, Johnny simply closed the show as a true American would. Reminding everyone that he singlehandedly won the war on terror tonight, Johnny then sat down on a knocked out Tomahawk TT, crooning “God Bless the USA” to close the show, lifting the hearts of all across the world.

Absolution just isn’t your basic yearly event. Now eight years in the making, Johnny Gargano will take on possibly one of the most interesting challenges thus far of his career: Ethan Page. With both men being the final two in the JLIT tournament, there’s enough motivation for these two to collide, but Ethan’s actions after his subsequent victory injected some personal, bad blood. Assaulting the son of the late JT Lightning – Johnny’s trainer – Ethan is now on the bad side of plenty of the AIW roster. In a match you certainly don’t want to miss, Johnny Gargano will take on the steadily rising Ethan Page in one-on-one action on iPPV.

Taking place on a Sunday night, June 30th, 2013, at 6:30 PM, AIW returns to the legendary Turners Hall in Cleveland, Ohio. Turners is located at 7325 Guthrie Ave., at the corner of Guthrie and 73rd. ABSOLUTION 8 will also be AIW’s return to iPPV, and will broadcast live on March 1st on www.smvod.com for the low price of $14.99. If you order the iPPV, you are entitled to unlimited replays as well!

After the killing opening match at the kickstart event of this EVOLVE weekend, Johnny Gargano understandably took a well deserved rest before meeting up with Gabe earlier today. With a mild confrontation about Johnny’s tactics during his match with Shingo at Wrestlecon, Gabe was cut off as Johnny informed him of the utmost truth. All he did was show all the heart in the world – as he did last night with his match against Matt Jackson. Your hero, however, still has two matches set up for him this exciting, action-packed weekend. Involved in the USA vs. the World series, Johnny chose himself as the leader for Team USA – rightfully so! (After all, Ohio is the epicenter of America, anyway, and he does bleed red, white, and blue.) Taking on Tomahawk T.T. on Saturday, Johnny plans to lead America to the good ol’ victory it deserves.

And then on Sunday, perhaps one of the most exciting matches of the summer set, Johnny will take on the King of Flight, Samuray Del Sol. Mentioning the rumors floating around about the high-flyer, Johnny reminds everyone of one thing: He, instead, resigned like the inspiration he truly is, who does what’s best for the company that made him. Just like how he fights his hardest to remain champion, knowing that it makes DGUSA.

And now, he’s off to Universal in celebration! Don’t fall off any rides, Gargano!

EVOLVE 21 & 22 are still set to go underway this Saturday and Sunday, with loaded cards you just don’t wanna miss. If you’re interested in ordering, the link is down below with packages that start at $10. Be sure to purchase the day before the event, so the five dollar price hike does not go into effect!

In the opening contest in the first show of the upcoming tripleshot weekend for EVOLVE, Johnny Gargano took on a man he knows far too well. With numerous tag team matches in their past, the two competitors brought the intensity in the very first match up. In a match that was described as “worthy for the VOD alone,” Johnny managed to squeeze past Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks to obtain the victory. Now 1-0 for this EVOLVE weekend, Johnny’s tore open the (freedom) gate (badumtish!) and began his mad dash towards complete Florida domination.

The VOD will be uploaded to WWNLive tomorrow, so if this has been a match of your dreams, there’s still a chance for you to see it, and view all you desire. The link for purchase is down below!

Hyped by nearly all members of the internet independent wrestling scene, this weekend’s EVOLVE tripleshot events are sure to be something wild. In three cards that are stacked from top to bottom, EVOLVE makes it’s Florida return, and promises something special. Busy all three nights – on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, Johnny will face three remarkably brilliant talents. On night one in Orlando at EVOLVE 20, Johnny will face a man he’s had plenty of tag team wrestling experience against: Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks. With the day following off, Johnny will then head to Jacksonville for EVOLVE 21 to take on the recently debuted Tomahawk T.T., before he’ll wrap up his weekend in Ybor City, Florida at EVOLVE 22 perhaps facing one of the most exciting challenges yet. In a singles match with the Open the Freedom Gate title on the line, Johnny Gargano will stand toe-to-toe with the King of Flight, Samuray Del Sol.

If you are in the Florida area, these are all shows that you don’t want to miss. If you’re stuck in faraway land, such as myself, you can order all three shows online at WWNLive.com. Trust me when I say that all three of these shows will blow your mind.

We will have ringside photography from the event this weekend, and we will be sure to keep you updated on each event.

Starting off his night with an exhausting twenty minute classic against Adam Cole – one of the most highly revered men on the independent scene today – Johnny secured his place in the semi-finals for the JT Lightning Invitational Tournament. A student of JT, himself, Johnny had plenty to prove, and continued on with his dominating streak over the stunning Kimber Lee to secure his place in the finals. Battling off against Michael Elgin and Ethan Page, Johnny looked to keep the victory in the Cleve’s hands, but Ethan – having only one match today – had the advantage, and managed to walk off with the victory.

In the first round of the JT Lightning Invitational Tournament, Johnny Gargano took on long-time friend, Matt “M-Dogg 20” Cross in the main event. Both students of the craft beneath JT, the two men gave their absolute all in his honor, and Johnny managed to secure the victory in a phenomenal closing match. We’ll be sure to keep you updated tomorrow for Night Two as Johnny attempts to  get ahead of twelve other competitors.
