We wondered what was next for Gargano at PWG and now we know!

Night Two of All Star Weekend 10, which is on December 21st, is set for Johnny Gargano and he’s got his biggest challenge yet in the company – PWG Champion Adam Cole!

At the end of Matt Rushmore, Johnny threw down the challenge and so the main event for Night Two will indeed be these two going at it.

With matches at EVOLVE, Xcite and AIW behind them, this definitely has a chance to top these prior matches!

Will Johnny leave PWG Champion or will the odds be too difficult to overcome?

Prior to that, on Night One, Gargano will be facing another Best in the World, Davey Richards!

Tickets go on sale Thursday, November 14th at 8PM PDT.

Tonight, the spectacular tag team of Johnny Gargano and Chuck Taylor showed up in AAW to participate in the Allegiance Tag Tournament!

The two faced the uber talented C&C Wrestle Factory in the first round, who fell to Gargano and Taylor when Gargano hit the Hurts Donut on Cedric Alexander to get the pinfall!

Later on, after intermission it was the 2nd round of the tournament and it was Gargano/Taylor versus Zero Gravity! Unfortunately, Zero Gravity spelled the end for Johnny and Chuck in the tournament and ZG moved on.

Better luck next time, boys!

We’re sure his chest is now blazing red, but it appears that Johnny Gargano is back on the road to higher up in single’s competition in PWG!

Taking on one of the company’s veterans, and one of the best pound-for-pound wrestlers in independent wrestling today, Johnny walked away victorious over Roderick Strong! In what was described as a “great, hard hitting match,” Johnny forced Roderick to tap with the GargaNO Escape.

With all these victories, perhaps more is in store for Johnny in PWG? We can only wait and see!

Several weeks ago, “The Whole Shebang” was handed a mysterious note after a match. Later, we found out the contents – Commissioner Vic Travagliante, in an effort to rid Gargano from the PRIME Championship scene once and for all had signed a match for Wrestlelution 6 with the stipulation that if Gargano lost, he could NEVER again challenge for the title he is so synonymous with. Furthermore, his opponent… former World Tag Team Champion Paul London! London has appeared in virtually every wrestling organization and has dazzled fans across the world with his breathtaking athleticism, and propensity to take any risk necessary to win. Few men can match either Johnny Gargano or Paul London in-ring… but without question, they are both a formidable match for one another. Some may call it a dream match, but Gargano must win to keep his dream alive. Paul London, however, no doubt wants to make an impact by defeating arguably the greatest PRIME Champion ever. Who will survive what is sure to be among the most unforgettable battles in the storied history of Wrestlelution?

With great thanks to the wonderful people at PWInsider, we have detailed results for A Screaming Good Time! Who won the battle and advanced to the semi finals in the Race for the Ring tournament between Johnny Gargano and Adam Pearce? Click the read more to read the results!

Show »

Adam Pearce vs. Johnny Gargano final match of the evening. Who will be the last man to advance to the semi-finals? The crowd is all over Adam Pearce and he’s heeling away. Adam takes about 5 minutes to lose the robe and pulls the old “If my robe touches the floor I’ll kick your ass.” Bit on the ringside attendant. Pearce continues his tradition of falling behind early. Gargano ducks the follow me lariat, knocks Pearce down and blasts him with a kick to the head for the three count. Pearce is down 1-0 with 6 minutes remaining. Pearce took control for the next few minutes but was unable to tie the score. Gargano fired back up and hit his spear from the apron through the ropes into a great pinning combination for a near fall.

Pearce cuts off Gargano on the top rope and they battle for control. Gargano nails Pearce sending him flying to the outside and as he takes the bump his foot hits Gargano square in the temple knocking him out. Pearce recovers, rolls back in the ring and ties the score via pinfall. With five seconds left Pearce scores with the lariat but time runs out. We are heading into OVERTIME. Three minutes, sudden death. Next point wins. Pearce argues with the ref that Gargano is knocked out and there should be no OT. The bell rings and Pearce is all over Gargano tossing him outside and pounding him against the rail. Pearce sets him up for the lariat against the ring post but Gargano moves and Pearce’s arm takes the full force of the blow.

Gargano scores with a springboard DDT for a near fall, then rolls Pearce into a submission, Pearce counters into a rollup for a near fall, blasts Gargano with a forearm and locks in the figure 4. After a struggle Gargano gets the ropes. 45 seconds left! Crowd is very hot for this. Gargano nails a superkick with the good leg, but struggles for balance on the bad leg and gets nailed with the lariat for a near fall. After that both guys go through a series of reversals before Gargano rolls through and wraps up Pearce’s legs for the 3 count with 11 seconds left in OT. Great match to finish the night! If Cole has been MVP then Gargano is a close second. Johnny and Pearce win my match of the night honors tonight.

Winner: Johnny Gargano!
