What a night it was for EVOLVE!

A six-man tag was set up for later on, but plenty that involves good ol’ Gargano happened before! As a champion, a man always has a plentiful amount of men chasing behind them for the opportunity to clench on to the gold, and when you’re Johnny Gargano? It’s probably a bit worse. Everyone wants to topple the great Hero of DGUSA, and now? Johnny has three men in particular in the front of the line.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Roderick Strong would be incapable of competing at the EVOLVE tripleshot, and a new contender would be found in a FRAY between Chuck Taylor, Lince Dorado, Uhaa Nation, Caleb Konley and Jon Davis. Uhaa Nation prevailed, and at EVOLVE 27, Johnny will be taking on the Dragon Gate regular.

Following a match later, Ricochet defeated Chris Hero in a phenomenal bout before he mentioned the current Open the Freedom Gate champion; stating he was ducking him. Ricochet wants his title shot, and he wants it in New Orleans at Wrestlecon.

Johnny’s match (and all that occurred afterward) soon followed, and detailed results from PWInsider are below the cut. Words don’t do it justice: It’s certainly a bout to watch.

This weekend, EVOLVE will be hosting a triple shot in the state of Florida and here is all the information you need to know.

First of all, all of these events will be streamed LIVE! on iPPV. They will be broadcast in HD livescreen and if you order before the day before the shows, you will save 5$.

At EVOLVE 25 on January 10th, at the Orpheum in Ybor City, there will be an EPIC Six Man Tag match.

It will be Johnny Gargano and the Bravado Brothers versus Rich Swann and the Young Bucks! Each man has history with at least someone else in the match, so expect it to be explosive.

At EVOLVE 26 the very next night at the Orlando Downtown Recreatiom Complex in Orlando, Florida, there will be yet another tag match!

This time, champions will collide when Johnny teams with Jon Davis to face EVOLVE champion AR Fox and Uhaa Nation!

And now, onto EVOLVE 27 at the Edge Concert Hall in Jacksonville, Florida!

Originally, it was set to be Johnny versus the debuting Roderick Strong in a non title match. That has been up in the air since Roderick suffered an unfortunate injury at the ROH show on January 4th. Up until now, it’s been thought that Roderick would be available to wrestle. However, due to doctors orders, he won’t be available to wrestle.

But! Gabe has just informed everyone that Johnny will be facing the winner of the new “Chance of a Lifetime” FRAY! Competitors include Jon Davis, Chuck Taylor, Uhaa Nation, Caleb Konley, and Lince Dorado!

That’s a big match, and I’m quite excited to see who Johnny will end up facing.
