It’s just about time for Wrestlemania, but more importantly?
It’s almost time for the WWNLive Experience! SHIMMER, Kaiju Big Battel, A Wrestling Odyssey.. and of course, DGUSA and EVOLVE!
And what will Johnny be doing during these events? Well, of course he’ll be wrestling. He’s got to grace the crowd, doesn’t he? Not to mention, the rest of the world since all these events will be broadcast live on iPPV!
On Thursday, April 3rd, it’s EVOLVE 28 and Johnny will be facing an opponent that Ricochet has chosen for him. That opponent? Well, it’s Rich Swann!

Swann has been itching to get his hands on Gargano for months now, and his wish has been granted.
But on Friday, April 4th, its Open The Ultimate Gate 2014 and Johnny will again be defending his title.. but this time, it will be against the Open The Dream Gate champion, Ricochet!

Then, here comes Mercury Rising on Saturday, April 5th!

Mercury Rising is best known for their Six Man Tag Team Tradition. This year, it’s brought to a whole new level. It’s going to feature a six man tag tournament and participants include: Ricochet, AR Fox and Rich Swann, Tony Nese, Trent Baretta and Caleb Konley and many more.

But where does Johnny fit in with this? Originally, he was meant to be teaming with the Bravado Brothers, however, due to changes, instead it will be the Bravados and Moose.

So.. where does that leave Johnny?

Well, Johnny will be going against the one and only, extremely talented Low Ki!
..we’re not kidding, he’s seriously wrestling Low Ki on April 5th, live on iPPV!
We’re sure it’s going to be absolutely killer, and we certainly can’t wait for the match up.

It’s DREAMWAVE day! Or, well.. it was. Today was the Road to ANNIVERSARY: Misfortune, which featured the Misfortune Tag Team Lethal Lottery. Partners were randomly drawn, whether they were friends, enemies or even family. Partners had to coexist together to make it all the way to the Battle Royal at the end of the night. If they won, they would receive a very lovely trophy, as well as earn any match they wanted at the upcoming event Retaliation in May.

Any person. Any title. Any stipulation. Whatever the winner so desired.

So, where does Johnny fit in?

Well, if you must know, he was teamed up with recent foe, Nic Brubaker and they faced off against Colt Cabana and Darin Corbin!
But did they win? Of course they did. After a good match, Brubaker hit a Fisherman’s buster and it was all over. The two advanced into the Battle Royal. But that wasn’t all, nope, not even close!

Brubaker challenged Johnny to a 2 out of 3 falls match for Anniversary V on April 12th, 2014! And Johnny even accepted!

Onto the Battle Royal itself, Johnny made it to the Final Four – which also included Michael Elgin, Nic Brubaker and CJ Esparza. All that talent, but who would win? First Esparza was gone, then Elgin was distracted by Christian Rose, and was eliminated via Brubaker. He slid back in to lay out both Johnny and Brubaker twice. (How rude.)

Both made their comebacks, but it all leads to Gargano throwing Brubaker like a lawn dart, and then later, a kick to the junk to eliminate him.

Damn, Johnny.

So, there you go! Johnny’s now got himself any match he likes. He got ‘dat power. Hope it doesn’t go to his head!

This weekend was a doubleshot from St Louis Anarchy, with both Gateway to Anarchy Night One & Two boasting talent filled cards. The show broke their own attendance records, how crazy is that?! However, Johnny was only on Night One and it was in a match that was described as “unreal”. We don’t have much more information than that, but do we ever believe it to be true.
Johnny teamed up with Nick Jackson to defeat the very talented Mat Fitchett and Davey Vega.

Another DGUSA doubleshot is done and in the books, and we’ve got us some results for tonight’s iPPV Way of the Ronin! Johnny was set to finally take on Roderick Strong, and boy did those two not disappoint. However, who left the champion? Did Jesus have Gargano’s back? Or did the Messiah of the Backbreaker backbreak his way to victory? Click the spoilers below to find out. Big thanks to the folks at PWInsider for the results!

Open the Freedom Gate Champion Johnny Gargano defeated Roderick Strong with a GargaNo Escape to retain the title. Midway through the match, Rich Swann came out and invited the fans to surround the ring to give the match an awesome European fight club/WXW feel. After the match, Gargano took a mic, telling the fans that booing him is like booing kids with cancer, because “this belt cures cancer.” Swann took the mic from Johnny, telling him he made the fans surround the ring so that he’d have nowhere to run. Swann tells Johnny that in New Orleans, he’s gonna kick his ass, Cima’s gonna kick his ass, and Ricochet’s gonna kick his ass, so much that he can say goodbye to the title, as Gargano frantically searched for a way out. The fans started the Na na na hey hey goodbyes, before Johnny Gargano was able to escape the ring finally.

Another excellent match. High intensity. Gargano hugs children in the stands during his entrance, until Baretta leaps over the ropes to interrupt, and the battle starts outside the ring about five minutes before the bell sounds. Tons of highspots. Near the end, Baretta hit a top-rope modified novacain, but Gargano got the ropes. Gargano then closed with a STF, forcing Baretta to tap out. Standing ovation for both competitors after the match.

It’s time, friends. Time for DGUSA to have another Doubleshot and this time, it’s back in NYC! Yes, that’s right. But what’s on the card for our dear favorite, the champion of champions, Johnny Gargano?

Well, if you were wondering..

On Saturday, February 22nd, in Elmhurst, NY, Dragon Gate USA presents REVOLT! 2014. As unfortunate as it is, this event will NOT be on iPPV, however, it will be put immediately on the WWN VOD! Did we mention it’s also in HD? How crazy is that. So, what match of Johnny will you see in HD come February 22nd? Well, it’s going to be him defending the Open the Freedom Gate title against.. CIMA!

And then, on Sunday, February 23rd, in Brooklyn, NY, Dragon Gate USA presents Way of the Ronin 2014! This event WILL be broadcast on iPPV, and you’ll be blessed enough to see the handsomeness of Johnny Gargano in HD then as well! As well as everyone else, but the main focus is obviously Johnny. Really, the company should be called JGUSA, but still.

If Johnny defeats CIMA on February 22nd (which, he quite obviously will), he will be going head to head with new foe, Roderick Strong. Everyone knows that in January, Johnny and Roderick were meant to go head to head, but due to injury, it didn’t happen. Now, here’s the actual match that will be hardhitting and incredible.

However, if God makes a mistake (we’re watching you, God. Don’t do that), and Johnny somehow loses, he will go on to face one of the members of the Premier Athlete Brand. So, we could possibly see Tony Nese, Trent?, or perhaps even Su Yung step up to the plate.
