EVOLVE 49 had a lot riding on it. We’ve mentioned before how Gargano and Ethan Page have a history – and it’s ending with a big one. An I Quit Match. Yeah.

Courtesy of PWInsider, you can read the detailed results below .. as well as a little surprise from tonight’s special guest?! Additionally, be sure to catch the replay at WWNLive.com!

The ring announcer Joanna Rose said that she’s been instructed to make an announcement and that is that a special individual is here.  She said they were about to make history.  HHH’s theme song played.  No way.   Nope.  Out came Ethan Page, doing all of HHH’s mannerisms.  The crowd crapped all over him and chanted, “A**hole” at him.  He told them not to hate the player, but to hate the Game.  He said that he’s shocked they fell for that even if they are from NYC.  He promised it was the final match for Johnny Gargano in WWNLive.

They brawled to the floor and into the crowd.   Page nailed Gargano and took the belt from the referee’s waist, whipping Gargano.  Gargano got the strap and returned the favor.   Gargano grabbed a stack of chairs and threw them down on Page over and over again.    They continued to brawl around the building.

Gargano nailed a tornado DDT off the wall on Page, who refused to quit.   Gargano peppered him with right hands on the stage of the venue.  They returned to the ring.  Gargano called for chairs and fans handed a ton of them over.  For a second, I thought it was going to be some chair throwing time from the crowd!  Page caught Gargano with a chair.  A table was brought into the ring and was shattered.

Page went for a Pedigreee but Gargano backdropped him across some chairs.  They exchanged left and right hands.  Gargano nailed an enziguiri and a superkick.  They exchanged a series of kicks with both nailing KO kicks at the same time.  They battled to the apron.  Gargano went for a DVDR but Page nailed a series of elbow to block it.   Page went for a DVD but Gargano slipped out and landed in the ring.  Page nailed an Ace Crusher onto a chair but Gargano would not quit.

Page forced a ringside worker to unscrew one of the turnbuckle pads and shoved the referee down.  He nailed Gargano with a chair.   He followed up with a Pedigree.  Another table was brought into the ring.   Page nailed Gargano in the head with a chair.  Page set up the table and placed Gargano facedown on the table.  Page went to the top but Gargano caught him and nailed a series of right hands.  He nailed a tornado DDT off the top through the table on Page.

Gargano worked over Page with right after right hand.  Page made a comeback and demanded Gargano say I Quit.  Gargano responded that Page would have to kill him.  He spit in Page’s face.  Page drilled him and pulled out a rope that Gargano had used in the past as a weapon.  Page grabbed the loose ring rope and tried to put it around Gargano’s throat but Gargano escaped and wrapped it around Page’s throat, then locked in a submission.  Page quit.

Your winner, Johnny Gargano!

Gargano cut a promo promising that his path to the EVOLVE title starts right now.

August 15th. Woodside, Queens, New York. EVOLVE 47.

Many were holding their breath as this show neared closer. They were excited for these two men to face off in an Anything Goes match, which was destined to be wild.

Courtesy of PWPonderings, we’ve got some detailed results from this evenings show. Check them out and be sure to check the rest of the results by clicking HERE.

Johnny Gargano came to the ring to check on his friend, Swann, but Gulak cuts a promo on him, saying Catch Point is the new force and challenges them for a future match, but Gargano calls for it now and they go face to face, but Catch Point leaves. Gargano then talks about his Anything Goes match against Ethan Page tonight, until EVOLVE & Dragon Gate USA Open The Freedom Gate Champion Timothy Thatcher comes out, exchanging words with Gulak on his way to the ring. Thatcher cuts a promo on Gargano being the greatest DG-USA champion in the company’s history and CIMA might not even like him, saying he is a much more worthy holder of the DGUSA Title and hands it over to him, shakes his hand and leaves! Swann takes the title from Gargano and places it around his friend’s waist.

Anything Goes: “All Ego” Ethan Page def Johnny Gargano
Page had Gargano down and held a chair over his head, when Rich Swann came out to stop him and save his best friend, only to blast Gargano with a Superkick! Swann stands over his friend, before letting Page destroy Gargano with multiple chair shots and then hold Gargano in place, as Swann connected with a Frog Splash and Page put a foot on Johnny’s chest for the 3 count.

Page cuts a promo on Gargano, telling him his mystery opponent for tomorrow night has been found and says Swann will be that man. Swann cuts a promo on his past with Gargano and says Thatcher giving him the title earlier, showed him what kind of guy Johnny truly is. Swann is holding the DG-USA Open The Freedom Gate title as he and Page hold Garagao down and Swann cuts a promo on how Johnny was a false idol. Swann then puts the title on Page and goes back after Gargano.

EVOLVE is pretty great. They brought it again to the state of New York, specifically Woodside and Ronkonkoma.  They were also broadcasted on WWNLive.com and you can go see the replay there right now! Go on, check it out.

Don’t have time?

Well I’ve got results for you riiight here.

Rich Swann and Johnny Gargano successfully defended the Open the United Gate tag team titles against Drew Gulak and his brand new protege Hot Sauce Tracy Williams. Killin’ it, boys. They went on to say that they were then giving up the titles because EVOLVE deserved their own titles.

That wasn’t the last appearance of Johnny for the night, he would stop by the main event and ask Drew to retire the Open the Freedom Gate title.

Drew said no, but offered Johnny another shot at it which could be happening in the future.

The show kicked off with the Grudge match between Ethan Page and Gargano. Stipulation was that if Johnny won, Ethan Page would leave EVOLVE. If Page won? Johnny would be forced to shake Ethan’s hand. A lot was riding on this match, including pride. The two men brawled, trying to out edge the other. Ethan took a page straight from Johnny, however, and after a low blow, Page was able to choke Johnny out with a rope in the Gargano Escape for the win.

We’re not happy about it.

Also not happy about Page forcing an unconscious Johnny to shake his hand.

He’ll get his revenge soon enough.

EVOLVE returned to Florida, and while I’m sure the weather was fantastic, there was a looot riding down in Ybor City & Orlando. Our favorite Johnny was involved and there was something surprising that happened to him..

First in Ybor, Johnny faced off with current TNA superstar Davey Richards. Dude. Talk about dream match. Our dreams involved Johnny winning.. unfortunately, Davey picked up the win.

..but the next night? Oh boy.

It was Gargano & Rich Swann vs Tony Nese & Caleb Konley in a Street Fight for the Open the United Gate tag championships. After a competitive match which included Val, Andrea and Su Yung all getting involved, Johnny and Rich shocked the crowd by winning the tag titles.

Congrats boys! Defend ’em with pride!

EVOLVE 40 started the set of shows that aired tonight from WWNLive.com and oh boy, what an event it was! Full of stellar matches, incredible talent and even nice looking people? It was quite the treat!

As we all know by now, Johnny endorsed Ethan Page for these EVOLVE shows. That’s all well and good.. but Ethan lost both of his matches so far. Yikes. He told the crowd that they should be booing him and that he wanted to boo himself and went on to say that he wants to be just like Johnny and apologizes. This brings out the champ himself who promptly tells Ethan to shut up and tells him he believes in him.

Aw :’). Such a top human! Afterwards, Johnny talks about him versus Drew Galloway for the next day and reminds Galloway all about his passion. Damn.

Later on, Johnny teamed up with ol’ Ronin buddy Rich Swann to take on the team of Caleb Konley and Brian Cage who were accompanied by SoCal Val and Andrea, who looked pretty great if I do say so myself. But they were clearly outnumbered so what were they to do?

After quite the match, it seemed like Johnny had made Konley tap out – however, it was revealed by the referee that he had stopped the match due to an injury suffered by Rich Swann – and that the Premiere Athlete Brand picked up the win.

Let’s just say it was rather confusing but we sincerely hope that Swann is okay! Sending positive thoughts to you, dude!

It’s Wrestlemania season! While this is a big deal to WWE superstars, it’s also a big deal to many independent wrestlers out there. It’s a time when they all pack their bags and take off to the general area where independent shows are also put on. As we all know, they’re in California this time around and Gabe has some great shows lined up that you can purchase over at WWNLive.

But right now, we’re focusing on EVOLVE 39.

Johnny’s opponent? AR Fox.

Fun fact, these two faced off at EVOLVE 13 for this exact title. Crazy how long it’s been since then, isn’t it?

From what we hear of the show, these two men tore down the place. That’s not shocking. When you’ve got two men who go completely crazy inside the ring, you’re destined to get something special. After various counters, a guardrail getting taken out (and some fans, yikes!), it was all ended by the Garga-NO Escape! Fox was forced to tap and Johnny retained his title.

After the match, Johnny talked about going to the hospital due to his knee, but reminded people of the main event that was still to come.

Once the main event was finished, Johnny came back out again. These two men will face off at the WWNLive Supershow Mercury Rising on Saturday and they began to brawl, having to be split apart by Rich Swann & Ethan Page.

For now, Johnny goes on to team with Swann vs Caleb Konley and Brian Cage tomorrow.

Rest up, champ! Hope the knee’s doing okay!

Welcome to 2015 everyone! Johnny’s already got tons on tap for the year but first off, he was down in Florida for an EVOLVE doubleshot!

For EVOLVE 36, he was slated to wrestle Caleb Konley, but injury took him out. So who would face the champ?

The show started with Johnny in the ring, thanking the fans for their support and talking about how EVOLVE is the place for young and hungry talent and that now, EVOLVE roster members would be able to bring in younger wrestlers for their shot on the roster. This led to Johnny’s former roster member Rich Swann coming out and letting everybody know he was bringing in the first young wrestler. Who was it? Shane “SWERVE” Strickland!

Within a few moments, the match between Gargano and Strickland was made a title match and on they went.

But who won? Johnny Gargano of course! Via submission. The two men shook hands afterwards and out came Moose, the Bravado’s bodyguard. He then speared Johnny which we found to be incredibly rude.

Later on, Moose and the Bravado’s came out after Rich Swann’s match and began the beatdown. Johnny made the save and a match was made for the next night at EVOLVE 37.. Johnny Gargano, Rich Swann and the returning Chuck Taylor versus Moose and Bravado’s.. and whoever lost? Would never be able to team again.

Which leads us to the next night.

Which team would never team again? The newly reunited Ronin or the Bravados? Well, if you’re a Ronin fan, you should be happy because if the time ever comes, they can reunite once more! Yes, that’s right – Ronin defeated Moose and the Bravados.. but the night wasn’t over yet for Johnny. Not even close.

Once the match came to a close, out came EVOLVE champion Drew Galloway to have a staredown with the Open the Freedom Gate champion. What will this lead to? We smell a unification match at the Mania weekend shows.. but we’ll see.

As you can see, we have some great candid shots of EVOLVE 37 as well as EVOLVE 32 thanks to Bobby! Give him a follow, will ya?
