It’s another round of Hell on Earth. Things always seem to go awry whenever Johnny steps into an AIW ring, and this show was certainly no different. With an epic and years-long story with fellow Clevelander, Matt Cross, Johnny certainly always seems to bring his all against the opposition. And this time, he sparred no expense. However, things worked against him — as they always seem to do in Cleveland. Although he walked away with the technical victory, it was by a certain disqualification. One that we’re more than sure of that he’s now focused on avenging.

May the odds ever be in your favor, Gargano!

SMASH is without a doubt one of the future companies of the independent scene, with talent overrunning in every single division. As one of the men who’s been there for quite some time, it’s not a surprise to see him returning at every chance possible, and this time, he got a match that had more promise than any other. Taking on the magnificent Gregory Iron, Johnny managed to walk away with another SMASH victory in the bag. But we’re sure there were no hard feelings, and a bromantic hug soon followed.

Congratulations on the victory, Johnny!

You can never have enough cups or trophies, am I right? I assume Gargano thinks the same, because earlier tonight in Lockport, New York, Johnny threw himself in a six-man elimination match, all for the attempt to grab hold of the Ilio DiPaolo Cup. With one of his many nemesis’s, Ethan Page, thrown into the fold, it was certainly something to look forward to… However, Johnny, this time, did not walk away victorious. Will Calrissian managed to walk away with the cup in hand.

Don’t worry, Johnny. If you’re that sad about it, we’ll make one for you.

2CW is quite honestly becoming one of the leading independent companies on the Eastern coast, and every time Johnny returns, it’s certain to be a match to remember. This time around, ol’ Gargano took on Dalton Castle, a man whose name has been a cult favorite for quite some time. The two men did not disappoint, and per the usual, Johnny walked out with his head held high and his arm raised in the air.

Maybe now Santa will actually get you something for Christmas, ay, Johnny?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

BOLA is as big as you’ve heard. PWG isn’t the front-runner for best independent wrestling promotion for no reason, and BOLA — the yearly crowning tournament — is one of the many reasons as to why it’s earned it’s high regard. BOLA is a three-day tournament where numerous wrestlers battle off to a final three-way match where the winner is crowned, and for the second year in a row, Johnny was invited to the international tournament. Bringing in talents such as Kenny Omega, Chris Sabin, Zack Sabre Jr, AJ Styles, and Curt Hawkins, this tournament had seemingly been set up for a whole ‘nother level.

And this year, it certainly brought it.

We don’t want to gloat, but 23 people were involved in this year’s tournament, and our boy made it into the final three. Starting off with beating his former tag team partner, Chuck Taylor, Johnny then went on to mow down both Trevor Lee and Candice LeRae. Winding up in the finals with one man he knows very well, Ricochet, Johnny also had to look out for the man who advanced to the finals after assaulting the PWG champion, Kyle O’Reilly.

Unfortunately, the task seemed to be too large, and Ricochet was awarded this year’s winner of the Battle of Los Angeles. However, making it to the final three is an accomplishment of it’s own, I do believe, and we’re more than happy for you, Johnny! Train like Rocky all up until next year. 2015 will be your year, bub!

Be honest.

Let’s act like you weren’t incredibly excited for the return of Matt Sydal to the independent scene. Almost immediately, independent dream matches were made, and one of the first ones we personally mentioned was Gargano vs. Sydal, and we got it tonight in every way we ever hoped and dreamed. Unfortunately for our main man Gargano, the dream match didn’t necessarily end in his favor. All the fans were in favor of Sydal, starting off with loud “welcome back!” chants, to which Johnny loudly reminded everyone that this was his house.

We certainly won’t disagree, but Johnny didn’t manage to confirm that with action. With a 20 minute classic that ended with a Shooting Star Press, Johnny earned another loss. And after the match, it certainly didn’t get better. Suffice to say, the Open the Freedom Gate Title is still a very sore subject, and once he was questioned on his feelings for Sydal’s desire to obtain said title, Johnny… freaked. However, it seemingly did remind him of what he needed to do. Stating Rich Swann was the one who made him lose the belt to Ricochet, Johnny promised to end Swann.

And at EVOLVE 33, we’ll certainly see if he backs that up.

A reminder that tomorrow Johnny will be facing Caleb Konley in Orlando, and he’ll still end his grudge with Rich Swann on Sunday in Jacksonville. If you’re in the area, per usual, be sure to attend. And if you can’t, click here for information on how to order both EVOLVE 32 & 33 on iPPV.

The Kevin Steen Show is pleased to announce  that we finally sat down with the “Master of Lucharesu”, Johnny Gargano. In this interview, we learn about his debut at the tender young age of 8 as one third of the six man trio known as The Men in Black.  Although they never reached the heights of the Fabulous Freebirds, they were close in their own mind.We also talk about his time as the Champion of Liechtenstein, the country where people dress like elves.  Of course, we talk about the smaller stuff like his 873 day reign as Open the Freedom Gate Champion, going to Japan and his current run in PWG. You know the other stuff.

All joking aside, Johnny talks about a moment were a handicap almost ended his career. In a very serious Steen Show moment, Johnny talks about his near signing with TNA Wrestling to be a Twilight Vampire.

So, sit back back and enjoy as we talk to the Master of Lucharesu, Champion of Liechtenstein, and Cleveland’s Own, Johnny Gargano.

It’s that time of year again… Absolution!

One of the home promotions of All Heart, Johnny Gargano, AIW ran it’s yearly show, and this year, a grudge certainly needed to come to an edge. Cocky and disrespectful, Ethan came to AIW several years ago seemingly with the belief that he was certainly higher than everyone else. Stepping all over the fellow talent, and cheating his way to the top, Ethan soon ran into one of the foundation blocks of AIW, Johnny Gargano.

After disrespecting JT Lightning, things lit up far more than they ever had before, and since last year’s tournament, the two have collided several times. Tonight at Absolution, it seemed like the perfect time to end it.

…And perhaps, Johnny did just that.

In a match so intense that the referee had to stop it, Johnny brought Ethan to the limit until the match came to an end, without Ethan or Johnny’s actual consent. With another win in his column in the popular Gargano/Page saga, is this just another battle, or has Gargano finally won the war?

Nonetheless, congratulations Johnny! Keep kickin’ him right back over the border for all the kids in America!
